INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
STEP 1
STEP 1
-
To begin the installation process, first remove the factory installed live well outlet cover by removing the 2x Torx screws indicated by the red arrows below.
Be sure to use the correct sized Torx bit and hand tools only, these may be tight from factory.
The image above already has the bilge outlet installed, the factory cover will only have the live well quick connect hose connection.
-
STEP 2
-
Next you will remove the factory hose clamp on the live well hose, attached to the cover.
-
After loosening the hose clamp, gently remove the factory hose from the outlet.
Do not use excessive force to remove this hose.
-
STEP 3
-
Once you have removed the factory cover from your Ski, it is time to prepare the tools and hardware listed above to complete the install.
-
-
Using the drilling template provided in your kit, align the template over the factory quick connect hose fitting, ensuring the shaped edge aligns with the profile of the cover as pictured below
-
While holding the template securely in place, carefully drill the pilot hole using the 4.5mm drill bit through alignment hole in the template arrowed above.
-
STEP 4
-
After drilling the 4.5mm pilot hole, remove the drilling template and using the 20mm step drill, carefully drill a 20mm hole through the cover, aligning the step drill with the 4.5mm pilot hole drilled previously.
-
-
STEP 5
-
You are now ready to install the outer part of the outlet fitting.
You will find a profile on the rear of the outlet fitting that matches the profile of the factory cover. Insert the outer fitting, ensuring this profile matches that of the cover, as below.
-
-
STEP 6
-
Now prepare a surface where you can epoxy the inner part of the fitting in place.
You will need to place the cover upside down on a flat surface for at least 10 mins whilst the epoxy dries, so a kitchen or workbench is ideal.
Using a Cuetip and a suitable mixing surface (old container lid etc), mix a bead of epoxy about the size of a marble.
Use the Cuetip to apply the epoxy to the inside of the inner fitting up to the change in angle, as pictured below, ensuring an even distribution of epoxy all the way around the inside surface.
-
-
Working quickly, you can now insert the inner half of the outlet over the outer half you installed earlier. Ensure that you hold the outer half security in place to prevent it from rotating out of alignment. If required, you can pull back the outer half of the fitting to allow the inner half to slide down. If you do, ensure you immediately push it back into place and align it correctly before the Epoxy sets.
-
-
Before the epoxy fully cures, ensure the alignment of the inner outlet fitting is parallel to the factory outlet, as pictured below
-
Setting the factory cover on a perfectly flat surface, allow the epoxy to set for at least 10 mins (for 5min epoxy) before attempting to install back onto your ski.
The longer the better, if you can leave this overnight to fully set, this would be advisable.
-
STEP 7
-
Whilst you are waiting for the epoxy to set, you can move on to installing the pump, switch and wiring into your ski.
-
This guide does not cover the wiring of the switch panel, fuses or auxiliary wiring, if you are unsure on how to do this yourself, please consult your dealer or other suitably qualified individual. OCD accepts no responsibility or liability in this regard.
-
The included wedge mount is designed for use with the SeaFlo SFBP1-G1100-14A low profile pump. The wedge is designed to install the pump in front of the auxiliary battery in the FishPro Trophy as pictured below.
-
-
Start by installing the wedge to the pump as pictured below, using the supplied stainless steel screws.
Do not over-tighten the screws into the plastic, these are designed to lightly hold the pump in place, it is not necessary to over-tighten these screws.
-
Ensure the bilge of your ski is clean and free from oils or other contaminants.
The surface should be dry and clean BEFORE proceeding below.
Using the SikaFlex Marine adhesive, apply a bead to the underside of the wedge, ensuring coverage of the entire underside.
You can now install the pump into the ski by gently moving the cooling hoses aside and dropping the pump down between. You can use a large cable tie to hold the factory hoses to one side while you mount the pump if needed. The wedge should locate the pump perfectly level and oriented in the correct place, just ahead of the factory scupper hoses as indicated by the arrow in the below photo.
When securing the pump, the pickup should remain just above the bilge of the ski to allow the filter cover to be removed if needed for cleaning. The clearance to the bilge should be the same distance as the picture above, with the pump mounted to the wedge and sitting on a level surface.

-
-
You can now attach the bilge hose to the pump using the hose clamp (not provided in the kit).
Route the hose to the factory live well outlet hole in the hull of your ski.
The below images show the recommended route for the bilge hose.
Adding a loop at the end of the hose before attaching it to the Water Dragon © outlet is a option.

-
-
NOTE: In some cases it may be necessary to enlarge the hole slightly using a file or suitable grinding bit on a Dremel tool or similar. These holes are hand cut in the factory and not all of them are exactly the same size. Do not exceed the size of the rubber gasket as this is not required.
-
STEP 8
-
After allowing the outlet cover adequate time for the epoxy to fully cure, you are now ready to install it back onto your ski.
Start by gently attaching the hoses back onto the appropriate outlets as pictured below
-
Using the cable ties (Not provided in the kit), attach 2x cable ties to the main factory hose, ensuring that the clamping end of the cable tie is rotated to the inside of the cover, as pictured below
-
-
Tighten the cable ties and cut the excess off, ensuring not to over tighten onto the plastic.
Repeat the above for the bilge hose as below
-
-
Add one extra cable tie where the two hoses meet, to ensure they support each other when removing or installing the cover in the future.
-
-
STEP 9
-
The final step is to feed the hoses back into the ski and install the cover back in place.
Do not force the hoses back into the ski, if they are getting caught, ensure the cable tie ends are facing towards the inside and gently squeeze the hoses as you push them back through the hole in the hull, this will allow more space for the cable ties to pass through.
-
Finish by re-installing the 2x Torx screws and enjoy your new Water Dragon!
